Install as an app
Install Today’s Manna on your phone, tablet or computer like an app, and its icon opens your shelf in one tap. With no address bar, the book gets more of the screen.
iPhone · iPad
Install from Safari.
- Open ohmanna.com in Safari. If you tapped a link in KakaoTalk, open it in Safari first.
- Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen (at the top on an iPad). If you can’t see it, tap the ⋯ button first.
- Scroll down the menu and tap Add to Home Screen. If it isn’t there, tap View More.
- Keep the suggested name and tap Add at the top right. If you see Open as Web App, leave it on.
- Open it from the new Today’s Manna icon on your home screen.
The first time, it may ask you to sign in, because on an iPhone or iPad the installed app keeps its sign-in apart from Safari. Tick “Stay signed in on this device for 30 days” when you sign in and it will open straight away from then on.
Android phone · tablet
Install from Chrome or Samsung Internet.
Chrome
- Open ohmanna.com in Chrome.
- If an Install now button appears at the top of this page, tapping it is the easiest way.
- If there is no button, open the ⋮ menu at the top right and tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
- Tap Install and the Today’s Manna icon appears on your home screen and in your app list.
Samsung Internet
If an install icon shows in the address bar, tap it. Otherwise open the ≡ menu at the bottom, tap Add page to, and choose Home screen.
If you are signed in on the browser, the installed app stays signed in too.
Computer · laptop
Install from Chrome or Edge.
Chrome
- Open ohmanna.com in Chrome.
- Click the install icon at the right end of the address bar, then Install. The Install now button at the top of this page does the same.
- If there is no icon, open the ⋮ menu at the top right and choose the item with Install in it (such as Install page as app). It may sit under Cast, save, and share.
- Today’s Manna then appears on your desktop and in the Start menu. Pinning it to the taskbar keeps it handy.
Edge
Click the App available icon on the right of the address bar, then Install. Otherwise use the ⋯ menu → Apps → Install this site as an app.
Safari on a Mac
On macOS Sonoma or later, choose File → Add to Dock in the menu bar.
Common questions
- I can’t find the install option
- A page opened inside an app such as KakaoTalk, Naver or Instagram cannot be installed. Use “Open in another browser” to open it in Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android, computer), then try again. If it is already installed, the option may not appear.
- The app asked me to sign in the first time
- That is normal on an iPhone or iPad. Sign in once and tick “Stay signed in”.
- How many devices can stay signed in?
- Up to 5 per account. Safari and the installed app on one iPhone count as two. Past the limit, the device left unused the longest is signed out automatically, and you can tidy the list yourself under “Devices” in your account menu.
- Can I read without the internet?
- No. To keep the books protected, nothing is stored on the device, so the app still needs an internet connection.
- If I remove the app, do my notes go too?
- No. Your handwriting and notes are saved to your account, so they are still there after reinstalling or on another device. On a phone, press and hold the icon to remove it; on a computer, use the menu at the top right of the app window.
